Makeup Artist Beauty – By Charlotte Ravet: Beauty Life Moments had the opportunity to sit down with international makeup artist and beauty educator Charlotte Ravet.
Where Did Charlotte Get Her Inspiration? Her passion for makeup was ignited while studying at La Sorbonne in Paris. She pursued it after earning a bachelor’s degree in History of Arts and Politics.
Where Her Work Has Shined? Charlotte found herself in high demand, working with major European television stations and renowned celebrities such as Robbie Williams, the Glee cast, and presenters at prestigious events, including Paris Fashion Week and L’Oréal Paris events.
Beauty To Covet: Charlotte shares what she covets for her own personal beauty routines. And, along the way shares some beautiful beauty tips and products that you can add to your own beauty tray.
CHARLOTTE ON COLOUR
As a makeup artist, I love playing with colour to create impactful images. However, when it comes to my personal skincare and makeup routine, I like to keep things simple. Also, I enjoy taking care of others, but when it comes to my routine, I prefer formulas that consistently care for my skin and are easy to use.
As a result of my experiences, I have also learned that sophistication resides in certain details, such as an outfit that looks impeccable and well-ironed, hair that is voluminous and freshly washed, skin that is minimally textured and just the right amount of colour on cheeks and lips. Depending on the day, I will look at one element of the face I want to emphasise. This could be lips, cheeks or eyes, but never the three at the same time. I also love using accessories such as earrings or colourful nails to perfect the look.
POWDERS AND CREAMS
Hyaluronic-Hydra Powder By Terry: I love this powder in its loose form, in colourless or shade 200. Powder has always been my go-to method for setting makeup, but having one that hydrates at the same time is definitely a game-changer! It’s like a little bubble of hydration that goes straight into my skin every time I use this powder.
Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré: A must-have to prep and hydrate the skin. In my morning skincare routine, I use this product as the last step to hydrate, repair and prep the skin for makeup application. This formula also allows me to work with any foundation after application and gives the skin a beautiful glow. I use it on my clients and models because it is extremely well tolerated even by the most sensitive skin.

CLEANSE AND PROTECT
Skin Software’s Salicylic Facial Wash: My love affair with Skin Software’s products began when I discovered their social media profiles and discovered the brand’s concept. A small range of affordable skincare products that deliver results. My favourite products are the Face Wash and the Daily Sun Defence.

HAIR BEAUTY
Wella Professionals Invigo Nutri-Enrich: I love products that moisturise and repair my hair without leaving it oily. It helps repair the ends of my hair while leaving the hair with a delicious scent whether I style it with or without heat.
Klorane Dry Shampoo: Even dry and curly hair can have oily roots! With long hair, you must have time to wash and style it! Klorane dry shampoo leaves my hair feeling fresh and does not dry it out.

LIP BEAUTY
Embryolisse Comfort Lip Balm: I use this product in Intense Red and Rose Nude. In addition to keeping my lips moisturised with the right amount of colour, I also love using them as a blush.

FACE AND EYE BEAUTY
Erborian CC Cream: I like to wear minimal texture on the skin to give the perfect glow or sun kiss effect. It melts into the skin and the shade adapts perfectly to my natural colour to provide a beautiful touch of colour and perfect coverage.
By Terry Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadow in Frozen Quartz: I use many brushes when applying products to my clients, but I do everything with my fingers when applying products to myself. This cream eyeshadow is so easy to apply that you can’t go wrong with it! It dazzles the eyes and its gorgeous sparkling finish and lasts all day.

BROWS AND EYE BEAUTY
The Garbo & Kelly Eyebrow Range: The Garbo & Kelly Eyebrow range has always been in my kit, and I use it daily to shape my brows perfectly. Their shades give a natural finish. As most eyebrow products don’t look natural, they are either too warm or too cool. Garbo and Kelly have developed shades that suit any eyebrow colour.
Tarte Cosmetics Eyeshadow – Tartelette Amazonian Clay: When my clients want a bronzy look, I use this palette the most. Dewy skin with warm matte shades on the eyes is my favourite. Finding warm eyeshadow shades that don’t turn orange once applied can be challenging. Long lashes and a beige pencil on the water line complete the look.
