The term ‘fashion’ originates from the Latin word ‘Facere,’ which means ‘to make,’ and describes the manufacturing, mixing, and wearing of outfits adorned with specific cultural aesthetics, patterns, motifs, shapes, and cuts, allowing people to showcase their group belonging, values, meanings, beliefs, and ways of life.

Cesta Collective creates bags that are made by hand from start to finish that have a purpose. Each bag begins its journey in Rwanda, Africa at the weaving stage. It is here where each bag is made entirely of sisal or raffia – dyed using only organic vegetables. The final passage of their journey is where they are hand finished in Italy at a luxury atelier in Acireale, Sicily. Each piece is crafted using traditional techniques by skilled artisans.
